Tell me a story...

Come learn the secrets to telling a great story! We have put together the drama dreamteam of Mark Borthwick, a local musician and storyteller, and Emily Dewhurst, who runs the Ragtag Scrapstore, to run a two-day storytelling workshop where kids aged 7-11 will put together their own long-form piece of storytelling theatre complete with voice work, movement, tech, costume, and set design.

The scrapstore is a landscape of imagination, allowing us to create anything from free materials. We will take a learning-through-play process, allowing each child to engage with the aspect of production that they are most interested in. This process will help loud children develop new backstage skills, and also help quiet children find their voice.

Parents are encouraged to leave their child unaccompanied, and return at 3.30 pm on the Wednesday to watch the performance.
