Whether you’re looking for weekly after-school fun, enriching holiday activities or inclusive sessions for children with additional needs, we offer a wide range of creative opportunities to suit every child.

We run a variety of clubs, workshops and events throughout the year — each designed to inspire imagination and build confidence through art.

Our Art Club runs term time on Thursdays 4 – 6pm and is aimed at primary aged children. 

Our Family Fun Days are a fantastic way for children and families to get involved in our new Arts Council-funded project Ragtag Parade.

Art Club

Art Club

Our popular Art Club runs every Thursday after school during term time for primary-aged children. Each week brings a different activity — from model making and painting to sewing cushions and printmaking — giving children the chance to explore a variety of creative techniques in a fun and supportive environment.

Family Fun Days

Family Fun Days

Held on the first Saturday of every month, our Family Fun Days are a chance for the whole family to get creative together! Each session explores a different theme — including ceramics, carnival costumes and more — all tying into our Arts Council-funded community project, ‘Ragtag Parade’. A great way to spend time together and dive into hands-on arts and crafts.

Messy Paint

Messy Paint Sessions

Twice a term, we host our much-loved Messy Paint Sessions — a chance for little ones to truly let loose with colour! We cover the room in paper and provide a variety of paints and tools, encouraging children to mark-make, explore textures and enjoy the freedom and sensory joy of painting without limits. It’s all about creative expression, messy fun and a safe space to experiment.

Holiday Clubs

Holiday Clubs

We also run a variety of holiday clubs with options ranging from full-day sessions to one-hour workshops. These are packed with hands-on activities such as; ceramics, bookbinding, messy paint sessions, creative crafts and themed projects. Perfect for keeping kids entertained and creative during school breaks!

Funded Clubs

Funded Clubs

During the Easter and Summer holidays we receive funding from the council to run free activity days for children who are eligible for free school meals. These sessions are packed with fun, creative activities — providing a safe, engaging and inclusive environment for all. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended!

SEND Workshops

SEND Workshops

Children with SEND are always welcome at Ragtag and we’ll do our best to support your child’s needs. We run some workshops specifically for children with SEND, offering a safe and supportive space to create and explore. A number of free places are also available on our funded sessions. If you'd like to discuss your child’s needs, please get in touch. Please note, we currently do not have an accessible toilet or lift to upstairs areas.
