Family Fun Day: Proud Portraits

Join us for a joyful, colourful celebration of pride and creativity! In this special Kendal Pride week session, you’ll paint a watercolour portrait of someone you’re proud of — maybe a family member, a friend, a queer icon, or even your fabulous self!

We’ll kick things off with some fun and messy painting games to get those creative vibes flowing. Then, you’ll create a beautiful, bold portrait and design a dazzling frame to show it off like the masterpiece it is.

And don’t forget — you’ll also get to explore our brilliant Loose Parts Play Space, where you can build, imagine, and play however you like!

Come paint, play, and celebrate love, pride, and all the people who inspire us. Everyone is welcome, and we can’t wait to see what you create! ✨

Session Times:

• 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

• 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

• 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM (This session is for children with SEN who would benefit from a quieter environment.)

Bonus: We’re offering a FREE mini bus to the event from the Lidl car park. Make sure to book your spot for the bus separately using THIS LINK

Pay What You Feel Scheme:
We believe everyone should be able to join in the fun, so we offer a flexible payment option with no questions asked. (Thanks to some funding from Cumbria Community Foundation) Please make sure to book a place for every child. Choose the amount that works best for you:

• £0

• £5 (half-price option)

• £10 (the actual cost of the workshop)

• £15 (pay a little more and help fund a space for someone else)

PLEASE NOTE CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Our cafe will be open serving cakes and drinks
