Carnival Club is your monthly invitation to be part of the making magic. Once a month we’ll take over the Scrapstore café, classroom and wood workshop for a full day of joyful hands-on creativity.
Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just curious, this is your chance to help build the visual heart of the Ragtag Parade. We’ll be working together on puppets, props, costumes and more, using recycled materials, imagination and a whole lot of glue. These sessions are collaborative, relaxed and open to all skill levels—no experience needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go. You’ll also have the chance to connect with others, make friends and be part of something amazing.
When?
Second Wednesday of the month. 10 – 12.30 & 6.30 – 9pm.
These workshops operate on a pay-what-you-feel basis with no questions asked. We also offer a free minibus pick-up from Kendal Leisure Centre and Sandylands Post Office. So come along, roll up your sleeves and help us bring the Ragtag Parade to life.
We want everyone to feel welcome at Carnival Club. If you’re an individual with a disability, neurodivergent or have access needs, we’ll do our best to support you.
To help us plan, please fill in our short access form – this gives us a better idea of how we can make the sessions work for you. We may follow up by phone or email if anything needs clarification and we’re always happy to chat if you have questions or concerns.
Our accessible minibus is available with pick-up and drop-off from Kendal.
We are a small not for profit organisation and appreciate your support in any way. Whether it is giving us your time, shopping with us or simply telling your friends about what we offer, it all makes a difference.
