Are you looking for a creative way for your child to celebrate their birthday? Then Ragtag Arts is the place for you.

From ceramic money boxes and scrap hobby horses to crazy golf and loose parts fun….. so why not book a party with us!

We have 9 party options you can choose from below. Parties are held at Ragtag, just 5 minutes from Kendal at 10.30am or 2pm on Saturdays or weekdays. There is something for all ages, even adults. Party Need to Know

Party Times

We host parties on a Saturday at 10.30am and 2pm. We can also hold them during the week.

Booking & Payment

Complete our online party enquiry form to get started
A £30 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking (paid via email link).
The remaining balance is due on the day (cash or card accepted).

Supervision & Safety

Ragtag leads the creative activity but adults must remain to help supervise.
You are responsible for all children attending, especially those dropped off.
We recommend a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children under 6 years and 1 adult to 6 children aged 6+.

Decorations & Setup

You’re welcome to bring decorations (no tape on walls/woodwork).
You can arrive 30 minutes before the party to set up.

Food & Drinks

Please bring your own party food. (We do not provide any food)
The last 30 minutes of the party is for your party tea
We provide:
- The space to eat in;
- Reusable plates and cups;
- Jugs of squash and water.
Please help us reduce waste by not bringing disposable plates and cups.
Grown-ups can buy tea, coffee & cake from our café (Farrers coffee served!).

Party Bags

All our parties include a fun-filled party bag for each child. Every guest gets to choose their own mask and top up their bag with fantastic finds from our Scrapstation – a treasure trove of creative materials. Each party bag also includes a special goody pack of hand-picked scrap to inspire even more creativity at home.

Accessibility

Our main party room is not wheelchair accessible, but we can host parties in our accessible café area or Loose Parts space. Please note, however, that we do not have an accessible toilet. If you or your guests have specific accessibility needs, get in touch before you make a booking – we will do our best to accommodate you and your guests.

At Ragtag Arts we’re passionate about delivering creative, eco-conscious children’s parties that are just as fun as they are thoughtful. We do things a little differently and we are proud of it! All the materials used in our workshops are rescued from landfill, allowing children to craft, play, and create without waste.
