Turn your class into a vibrant carnival for the day! We can work with a single class or the whole school to explore the exciting world of costume making and puppetry.

Children will design and create their own carnival costumes around a chosen theme, while developing skills in:

• Exploring and developing creative design ideas

• Selecting and using a range of tools and equipment for practical tasks (cutting, shaping, joining, finishing)

• Making costumes that are both decorative and functional

• Learning how to strengthen, stiffen, and reinforce materials to create durable, complex structures

Workshops can include:

• Costumes: A themed collar, headband, and belt

• Flags: A colourful set for the parade

• Large Puppet Making

• Lanterns

To finish the day, those who have participated will join in a joyful playground carnival parade. For an additional fee we can also bring along additional costumes and giant puppets for the children to carry, adding even more colour, movement, and excitement to the celebration!
