Located just outside the Lake District National Park in the vibrant town of Kendal, the home of Ragtag Arts is a haven of scrap, creativity and joy. At our fantastic site we have our wonderful scrapstore, a veritable treasure trove of recycled materials in all shapes and sizes that have been kindly donated and rescued from local businesses. Buy by the piece, basket or trolley, our scrapstore attracts crafters from far and wide searching for unique ingredients for their projects.

In addition to our scrapstore we have a wonderful loose parts playroom where youngsters and adults alike can come together to build, create and get busy. Stocked with an ever-changing pile of fabulous finds the room often transforms into a spaceship, a castle, a farm through imagination and creativity.

Also on site is our crafty café where you can come and enjoy a hot drink and cake whilst you craft away an afternoon. Our tables are perfect for spreading out and getting stuck into your latest projects.

With artists’ studios too, including a ceramics studio and a classroom for hire, Ragtag Arts lovingly provide a dedicated retreat for all things arty and crafty and can’t wait for you to visit us!
