We are passionate about providing quality creative workshops that are are accesible to children and adults of all abilities.

We run workshops in schools, at events and festivals, as well as running adult workshops, teacher training and team building days.

Many of our workshops are inspired by re-useing waste materials. We often run workshops where we talk about the impact of waste (particurly plastics) on the environment alsongside a creative activity using materials from the

Ragtag Community Scrapstore.

Activities include:

Scrap modelling, junk printing, puppet making, Weaving,

frame making, cardboard installations, costume making and even Mural Painting.

Our team is made up of professional artists and educators from a range of different artistic backgrounds and so we are also able provide other types of art and craft workshops such as ceramics, print-making, willow weaving, lantern making and environmental sculpture.

As part of our new RePaint Scheme. We are now running mural workshops using our repurposed paint.

Working alongside our artists participants will design and paint their own mural.

This can be on any theme, and can either be painted straight onto a wall or onto boards.

We have been working with community groups to create large sculptures and installations for over 15 years.

We are experienced in managing large projects, taking people through the whole proccess from intial ideas, to design, construction,

presentation and of course celebration!

We specialise in carnival sculpture, making giant puppets and moving sculptures for parades and festivals.

New this year... We are hosting a monthly creative meet up in collaboration with

Kendal Torchlight.

Each month we will meet together, sharing skills and practices around carnival arts, circus and street performance.

All are welcome to come and join us, meet new people, share a hot vegetarian meal and design and create your own carnival sculptures, flags or puppets, there will also be a circus meet going on at the same time.

This years carnival theme is...

'Think Global - Act Local'

note - this is a social making evening not an organised worshop, there are always people around to welcome newcomers and to help out where needed but the expectation is that we are all quite self directed. Most months however there will be someone sharing an idea or skill as a starting point.

Children 12+ are welcome with an adult.
